NewGen Completes Purchase of New Building

Today, NewGen announced that it has completed the negotiation of a new office building located in White Rock, BC. This new office is somewhat of a coming home. The building, located just 1 block from the waterfront, was home to NewGen’s first office space. “We used to be a tenant, now we’ll have the whole building.” Co-owner Lee Van Iderstine remarks.

NewGen will be the sole tenant in the new building, using the expanded space to facilitate NewGen’s continued growth.

Residents of the area may recognize the building by the “Buchanan Printing” sign that has been there for well over a decade.

This new office will become NewGen’s head office and base of operations, featuring an expanded helpdesk, a state of the art Network Operations Center and a larger more streamlined Service Center.

There is a lot of work to be done before NewGen can utilize the space, this work will include a complete redesign and renovation of the space, as well as significant green technology upgrades. “We’ve started talks with BC Hydro to see how we can design the new space to take advantage of the latest energy-saving technologies.” says Lee.

We will share more details and photos as the project progresses.

NewGen is expecting to move into the new space in July 2012.
